The handle is broken on my cup There is no way to fill me up Oh no, oh no As I watched you turn your back It crossed my mind you won't be back Oh no, oh no And all the plans that we made I won't let them fade away I did not mean to break your heart Never meant to be apart Oh no, oh no And all the plans that we made I won't let them fade away And on the days the days that lie ahead I will try to mend this broken thread And hold you closer to my heart And know this love will be our start and we will never be apart The handle is broken on my cup

You pulled me up by my bootstraps honey You knew I needed some sunshine You stopped the rain and you blew the clouds away My weather girls going to make it fine Oooh Oooh my weathergirl is going to make it fine I was feeling mighty down Weather front was moving in I needed to hear the music that you play to me Now you’re every season your every rain or shine You’re my winter and my summertime Oooh Oooh your my winter and my summertime Now you’re every season you're every rain or shine You’re my winter and my summertime

Well I went down to the harbour just to watch the fishing boats come in Loading boxes hosing down decks that’s what I remember holiday down by the coast Well I always had my rod but I never seem to catch a thing ice cream fishing chips on my breath salt and ice and fishing bouys Sho roo do doot doot doot do ro Always down at the arcade flashing lights and ringing bells but I never seemed to win a thing Bumping the machine just a little more change From the wall to the beach it always felt so cold to me My mother said get down to the sea but I never felt well at all Sho roo do doot doot doot do ro On the sand building sand castles Just a holiday down by the coast All the commotion at the harbour Just a holiday down by the coast Just walking down the front Just a holiday down by the coast I remember we went to the putting Just a holiday down by the coast Paddling on the beach Just a holiday down by the coast Struggling with the wind Just a holiday down by the coast Some days it would rain Just a holiday down by the coast Watching the fishing boats come in Just a holiday down by the coast

On these dark nights I need you more I want to see you through my door Why don’t you stay at home with me We’ll light the fire And sit and watch the flames will dance across our hearts Why don’t you take a seat with me. And you turn on my inner light I contemplate what’s on my mind This is a love we have to keep And this old song that we will sing of something true we both will bring As we live out the life we planned With lighter hearts I’ll catch your smile I know tonight we’ll stay a while Warmed by this winter light we see I catch your eye and make you laugh I take my time on your behalf Let me offer up my recipe And you turn on my inner light I contemplate what’s on my mind This is a love we have to keep When something's true you hold it close not cast aside or let it go Don’t burn down this house that love has built There is a love that stays the course with changing days and moving shores This is the time to show your hand And this old song that we will sing of something true we both will bring As we live out the life we planned

I watch from afar as you move with the dance You travel the roads a life full of chance You don’t know me Do I know myself? The stars speak so clear and they talk of romance And as you dance in so close I feel the air that you move Is there a message for me in the steps that you choose Ah but you don’t know me Do I know myself? You seem so free and romantic to me I watch from afar the night it moves on I hear you laugh with your friends I know soon you will be gone I have memories of you in every beat of my heart I can still hear your dance though I know not where you are You never knew me I did not know myself Until you set me free come dance with me

Tenderness 03:45
I know what it means to love and I know tenderness I pray I love the way you do to me my love my friend my true To learn is no substitute you fill your head with thoughts No books, contain the dreams of you The dreams of you and I and the pleasures of the flesh You and I have learned together Learned to live and love together Lived a life now we can never part No picture could never capture you The beauty of your love The fruits that I harvest now Harvest all your love and give it back to you. I know what it means to love and I know tenderness I pray I love the way you do to me my love my friend my true

Daddy's car 02:26
Staying in at the weekend when there's so much to do Gather all the money we can get I know you want to see me when the sun comes up But I have to go cause we ain't married yet. I'll get my daddy's car and we can ride and you don't ever need to go home I'll get my daddy's car and we can ride and satisfy the urge you have to roam You're telling me that you feel like you're caged Daddy he doesn't understand You say you want to stay out late and he tells you that you can't But come the weekend girl yes you can I'll get my daddy's car and we can ride and you don't ever need to go home I'll get my daddy's car and we can ride and satisfy the urge you have to roam The roses by the side of the road they smell so sweet But I work so hard I haven't got the time to partake of that pleasure But the love that we have is just as sweet Especially little girl when you kiss my soft warm cheek I'll get my daddy's car and we can ride and you don't ever need to go home I'll get my daddy's car and we can ride and satisfy the urge you have to roam

The door is open and the sun is shining through Time to have another coffee with you, darling You lean over smile upon your face I raise my hand gently brush across your face Sunday morning and the pace is slow Sunday morning got nowhere to go Well you could be my resurrection Oh no Don't be expecting my defection but I'm gonna take it slow Well I can feel the heat of the sunshine on my back You have raised my expectations I think I'm on the way back Sunday morning and the pace is slow Sunday morning got nowhere to go No need to rush no need to push just take the time take the time to care Love takes its own path love has its own world just let the weekend take you there Just give yourself over feel at peace with how you are and who you are with Love takes its own path love has its own world just let the weekend take you there

I thought I was standing in the wings just waiting for the scene to paint itself But the lessons I had learned where the ones’ I needed to know As we step upon this stage We spoke about a future on a different path You felt the heat of change burning in my heart But the memories that we share are bound to take us there As we step upon this stage This song was written in our dreams reflecting upon unspoken words Just a simple melody spoke the truth to me Now we step upon this stage Just a simple melody spoke the truth to me Now we step upon this stage
